Orphans... In Mental Institutions

This sucks. It really really does.

What sucks?

Putting a child with Down Syndrome in a mental institution.

Why would they do that?

Because they turned 5...

What?!?!?!?! That's horrible! Who would do such a thing?

Governments that don't want to pay for their special care... That's who.

But, why? What's the reason? 

There isn't one... They don't want to have orphanage space taken up by a "monster."

You horrible person! Why would you call them monsters?

I'm not! I'm not! I love people with Special Needs! My family is in the process of adopting a baby with Down Syndrome from Lithuania.

I am about "informing" people of the needs of orphans around the world.

Ummmm, why?

My mom and dad decided to take me to Honduras when I was 13 years old. That was 2 years ago, and I'm still addicted. I saw the needs of those children and now I want to help other innocent babies like them.

1Timothy 4:12, that's how. This is my absolute favorite verse because it says exactly what I couldn't put  into words. "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."  I think that I can make an impact because I've seen it... I know how it feels to give a child a pair of underwear and watch them kiss it because they were soooooo grateful. If I can get people like YOU to help, I can do anything.

Where are they?

EVERYWHERE! They are in your city, county, state, country, providence, district, parish, and your world. They are there. They can't tell you. They can't seek you out and find you. But, you can help. In my state, Tennessee, there are roughly 2,027 orphans. There are 11,179 churches. Just in my state... 

What can I do?

You can do everything for them. 

Everything?

You can donate money to orphanages all over the world. You can donate directly to a child. You can sponsor a child. You could donate to a missionary. See? You aren't powerless, you're powerful.
